Nicole Martinelli is an artist Originally from the suburbs of Chicago, Illinois. Nicole recently relocated to the Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area where she finds inspiration in the surrounding mountains and rural areas for her latest creations. 

Nicole was originally a painter whom was primarily self taught under the direction of her grandmother also an artist as well as

under the instruction of her mentor and talented Chicago art institute graduate at

 McCord gallery 

Palos Park

in the suburbs of Illinois 

 Oil painting was her first love and passion as an artist, Unfortunately her health took center stage immediately following her break through as an artist .

The artist Nicole Martinelli found new comfort in choosing photography as a way to express herself artistically ,when she was physically unable to paint

The artist would previously use photography strictly for reference material, but after submitting her photography to juried art shows on a whim and having her photography accepted into multiple juried exhibitions and awarded second and third place ,

she quickly realized her photography is also a talent and gift  That needs to be ,and enjoys sharing with the world.

Nicole's' both mediums of artworks, paintings and photography,

Have been featured and recognized in juried exhibitions by fine art galleries across the Country both nationally and internationally in 2024 and graciously

The Artist upon her return to the artworld began receiving National and International recognition in 2021, and 2022

The Artist has held three solo shows featuring 18 original artworks in the suburbs of Chicago in 2014 , and showcased 20 oil Painting Artworks  2013 and a culmination  of both mediums featuring both artistic mediums  including, oil painting and Photography in 2022.

The cascades of colors and vivid images she features in both her paintings and photographs are a direct representation of the bold, immutable, beautiful feelings she experiences while initially viewing the subject matter for her artwork .

She as the artist feels that they actually choose her.

Nicole as an artist views herself as an instrument and that it is her obligation of capturing the beauty of the world and presenting these images through her artwork.

During these challenging, ever changing times, Nicole as an artist reminds her viewers of one factor that never falters or changes in our world. the solitude nature provides us . It is her main focal point in both her photography and paintings.

 Nicole has always been captivated by nature and the natural beauty and comfort it can offer all of us. "There is always a stream to catch our tears and a sunset to brighten our lives."

"If she can inspire, awaken and bring, solace ,peace ,and happiness to others as she has found herself while creating, then she has achieved her artistic goal."
